Your photos stay on your device

All photo processing on Puffin Tools happens entirely in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never accessible to us or any third party. When you close the page, the photos are gone.

What we collect

We collect limited, non-personal data to improve the tools:

• Usage analytics - We use PostHog to understand how people use the tools (which features are used, where people get stuck). This includes page views, button clicks, and general device information (browser type, screen size, country). We do not track individual photo content or metadata.
• Account data - If you create a Pro account, we store your email address and subscription status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your payment details.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (if you have an account) and analytics cookies via PostHog. No advertising cookies are used.

Third-party services

• PostHog (analytics) - Hosted in the EU. PostHog Privacy Policy
• Supabase (authentication) - Used only if you create an account. Supabase Privacy Policy
• Stripe (payments) - Used only for Pro subscriptions. Stripe Privacy Policy
• OpenStreetMap (map tiles) - Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap when you use the GPS Editor or Viewer.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected].
